An Aboriginal piece designed by Holly Ryan - Kutjarra .
The main focal point of this piece is the sort of
"wave/ripple" pattern in the centre. This represents the lifestyle and business of the barrier reef, alongside the many families, species and ecosystems that live there, shown through the white symbols that means "mother/family"
Through the outside of this ripple pattern, the darker blue symbols that means "family, adult and child" are representing us, as humans, appreciating the barrier reef from a distance. This piece ultimately aims to prove that when we are respectful of our environment and admire from afar, we can all live in harmony together.
